Renaissance Fabric’s old site was difficult to navigate and had some reliability issues, so I gave it a total overhaul.

Here’s what’s new:

• A fresh look: The new site is super clean and easy to browse on any device (phone, tablet, or desktop), whilst making sure to keep that classic branding everyone knows & loves.
• Better shopping experience: I’ve refined the product images & details, whilst navigation and search improvements make it simple to find what you’re looking for. The live stock display has been extended to include a new ‘back in stock’ notifier which not only benefits the customers but also helps with buying stock with a clear indication of what out of stock items are in demand.
• Social & Reviews: No more manually copying reviews! Google Reviews now pop up automatically, and I’ve added live Instagram and Facebook feeds right on the homepage.
• Trust & Payments: I added TrustIndex verification so customers feel safe and checkout is faster than ever with Apple Pay, Google Pay and credit cards alongside their existing PayPal option.
• Under the hood: I cleaned up the plugin list to make the site faster and set up auto-updates to keep things running smoothly. I also streamlined the SEO so products show up better in search results.
• Backend wins: For the team running the site, I added automated off server backups, better spam protection, a shipping label tool and a new analytics system to see where customers are coming from and to track their journeys through the site.
